He is also an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Business.

Ian's experience spans across Technology Consulting, Academia, Clean Energy, Food & Retail, Advertising, and Non-Profit Community Development. His proficiencies include Brand Management, Graphic Design, Creative and Technical Copywriting, and Content/Experiential Strategy.

I approach brand management holistically, and human-centrically. Every touchpoint with your brand must occur within the clearly-defined constructs of customer experience that our team puts in place. Medium-agnostic, the experience must feel the same. No matter how often the audience interacts with your brand, each experience must feel novel to the customer — but also strike a balance of familiarity. That’s brand trust. That’s meeting and exceeding expectations, regardless of the customer journey.

I’m also a real human. I value immersive experiences in nature more than most. Risk-taking, world-traveling, and thrill-seeking would best define me. I’ve covered almost every square inch of North America and Europe. By plane, by train, by car, and by foot. I want to see it all. I have so much love for this world. My wife is a conservationist by trade, and I’ve always pinned sustainability to the top of my list of values.

 

Call this “crunchy”, but worldly experience has provided much depth to my levels of understanding, communicating, navigating, and appreciating. It’s part of my personality and I would never trade that away.
